Honestly, I’m torn because i hate paying for things. Your productions are top notch and I have gotten a lot of entertainment from each episode. I’m a huge horror fan and this has been the best thing for me. So against all of my previous habits you’ll have yourself one loyal subscriber for season 3. As someone who is neither easily entertained or scared you have managed to do both on a regular basis. To me 20 bucks is a steal to make sure this podcast has a nice long life.

David responds: Thanks, Brandon. I appreciate it!

Honestly, I’m not going to be able to afford $20 for the season, it’s not that much for something this high quality, but I’m a student who struggles to survive on the money I have as it is.

David responds: I completely understand. I hope you enjoy the free version of the show.

The first thing I thought of the membership pricing was “I don’t even care, I’d totally pay for a membership.” I love these stories and I am more than willing to pay 20 dollars for this podcast.

I have been a huge fan from the beginning. I have no problems paying for the season pass after getting hours, and hours of free entertainment. The 20 bucks is a small price to pay to keep this awesome podcast going on. Keep up the great work David!

    Hi folks! David here.

I’m swamped at the moment and don’t have time to reply individually. Let me just say that I am extremely grateful to everyone who has supported the show and expressed a willingness to subscribe to a Season Pass. It means the world to me!

    Thanks for brightening my day!

I am ecstatic about the season pass option! David, you put so much work into this podcast and every episode fills me with glee (and fright!) when I see it on my feed. Any way to support your work, the narrators, and writers would be most welcome – especially if that went toward an increased production schedule! Weekly Nosleep would be well worth it, along with the bonus episodes! As soon as it’s ready I’ll be there to get it. Keep up the excellent work. I sincerely appreciate all you’ve done for the community out of your own time.

Hello from the big smog that is London! I just wanted to thank you for all your great shows. I have spread the word over the last year in the uk about the cast. I understand 100% about switching to a season pass for those who want more and love the fact you will still release single stories for average listener. Keep up the great work !

ps If you need audio read I am happy to contribute.

Whilst I don’t usually pay to subscribe to podcasts I will be in this case, just an idea though, how about a rating system so you can see how we are rating each story/podcast

Hello David and listeners you may recognise me now as a regular listener since I have commented on various stories and have been here since Season 1 episode 1 :) so ofcourse I will be a premium member. I am more than happy to help fund towards this podcast. Also the possibility of a new episode every week intrigues me and I hope in time our dream will become reality.

I understand the whole payment view of it and while I honestly believe you guys deserve to get paid for the entertainement you provide I can’t help but feel that those who really love the show but can’t afford to pay might be missing out. I still will be putting money aside once i get a steady income because i believe most (not all mind you) of the narrators should deserve to get an extra something

Honestly I dont believe in paying for podcasts. However the product you have given to us all for the last year and a half (?) has been worth the money. I will pay for the season pass not cause I want it but as a thank you for bringing us all an amazing product every two weeks. So thank you David!!!

Sorry to hear that you had to narrate all the stories alone, Dave! I’m saving up for a mic and will be hoping help in the effort real soon. I think 20 bucks is well worth the fantastic content that is provided to us listeners every week and will definitely be purchasing. Thanks for all the hard work!

I’m not sure about this, Dave. I fear this might isolate a lot of people and diminish long-term audience growth. Not the mention the potential danger of the episodes being put on torrent sites.
Pseudopod seems to be doing fine and only asks for voluntary donations at the end of each episode. Maybe it is best to shorten the episodes to ease the workload, and to make more of them to increase the subscriber base and thus gain a greater amount of revenue.

Ive been hooked since season 1, at about the 4th podcast, its been a great morbid journey and ive been so pleased with all the changes its gone through! Laying there at night listening, not only do i leave my reality for the duration of the podcast, but i feel part of something big. First time saying it but, thanks alot for this podcast, making life easier to bare for me! As of the subscription i feel almost honored to be able to help out, the price given is so small once considered the product. Though im poor as hell, i can still make that payment, but im concerned about the ppl that may have a bad situation or a diferent country… but thanks once again.

I love this podcast. I only found it recently, but have gone back and listened to the episodes starting with the very first one. I see that a season pass is necessary to hear all the stories in season 3 as well as the extras. If I subscribe in the middle of season 3, will I be able to hear all of season 3’s stories and extras, or just those that air after I suscribe? Please let me know.

Today alot of people are too ignorant and consumed in television, facebook and instigram to even take the time to listen to a good story; whether it be scary or a fantasy. I think it’s really nice to provide something like this for us people who do have the time. I never knew that something this amazing existed, and this is really creative. I never knew that listening to a scary story could make me almost wet my pants!!!This is good.

I really do enjoy this podcast, but this wasn’t a smart move. Giving free content and then taking it away will always work against you, that’s a fact. Offering a premium download with a few bonus episodes would be a great idea, but taunting people with free samples? That’s low. Just look at the outpour of support from people who say they’re willing to donate without compensation. You don’t need to make cutbacks like this!

I highly doubt you’ll read this, as this was posted years ago, but I’m disappointed. I personally don’t have the money to get a season pass, and in all honesty, I wouldn’t get one even if I did. I would donate, gladly, if I knew it would help you, but I wouldn’t support what I can only describe as a money-making scheme.

Honestly, I’m super bummed that the free version is so small. I really enjoy listening to this podcast while I do my nursing homework, but I’m struggling through college now and I really don’t have any money. The only money I get is lunch money from my mum. I’ll hopefully be getting a job soon, but having no money really sucks now that I won’t be able to listen to every episode in full. I don’t have the luxury of money at the moment, nor will I for a long time.

the 11 minute mark is when the stories start for anyone who wants to bypass David’s typical long-winded and insulting monologue.

I’d be willing to pay the extra if it weren’t for misleading us with this “exciting” news and if the drawn out speeches didn’t keep getting longer and longer. Again, not against paying for premium content but I don’t want to be told that the those who truly love the Podcast are going to be the ones who pay. And honestly, although there’s definite gems you can occasionally come across during the narrations, they are diluted with David’s pretentious dialogue pre-story and a bunch of laughably bad stories that suffer from the subreddit’s policy that forbids criticism.

Again, sorry, but not worth it especially when David insists he talks to us as if we were children.
