The Bolsheviks were the monsters and her great-grandfather was a hero.

I had my suspicions early on in Heroes and Monsters. When the phrase “breaking glass” was used my heart sank. Excellent story.

I would suggest adding anti-semitism and/or nazism in the trigger warnings list for Heroes and Monsters. Great story, though, had an dreading inkling that’s what it was while listening.

Eh I found it to be average. What was really going on was pretty obvious

Good thing I didn’t read your dumb request before listening to it. Sorry, but that’s dumb, it’s the entire point of the story,, and this a HORROR fiction podcast.

I can see why that might be warranted, but in this case I think doing so might give away the twist too early.

This episode had me thinking that I was listening to stories from season 3/4 because they were a lot simpler, which is what I really enjoy! Thanks for the great episode! My favourite of season 8!… So far…

Have any recommendations for some good, lesser-known ones? Have to listen to something in-between NoSleep Saturdays.

There’s yet to be a real dud so far in my journey through these archives, but… YIKES… the Cats of Sycamore Grove legitimately scared me! The buildup, the mystery, the sense of growing menace… been a LONG time since prose has done that to me!
